Drumthwacket - nj governor’s residence

Project Description:

Pedestrian circulation improvements were designed in conjunction with a new event space in a relocated historic barn at Drumthwacket, the official New Jersey Governor’s residence. The project scope included finding solutions to connecting different outdoor program areas located on a steep slope. The planting scheme incorporated an entirely native plant palette, and replaced a large lawn area with native meadow, consistent with the Sustainable Drumthwacket Action Plan. A sculptural ADA-accessible ramp winds through a native meadow and features amphitheater-like seating and other resting places. Planting and grading plans were completed as part of the construction documentation.
